What’s your athletic background?
Before joining Crossfit I used to attend a regular gym. I also did some swimming and as any other kid or teenager a lot of informally played ball games (specially football).
What was your first experience with CrossFit?
I remember trying to complete a workout before time cap with everybody cheering for me…I didn’t complete it on time but it was great! I saw the others and thought they have super powers.
When did you start CrossFit?
November 2017 if I remember properly (which is not normally the case)
Why did you choose CrossFit Schaffhausen?
I had several colleagues attending CFS and they strongly recommended it. Coaching in English also helps…
What keeps you coming back?
The fulfilment feeling after the workout, the social aspect of it….I guess I just enjoy it (and works from fitness perspective).
How do you like to spend your free time?
I try to travel as much as I can. Go out with friends, enjoy Swiss nature, wining and dining. And of course, coming to the box!
What are one or two improvements you have seen in your life since starting CrossFit?
I am very happy for having tried Crossfit. I think I have come a relative long way in terms of performance in the box (the starting point was really really low though).
What are your goals for the next twelve months?
Just any slight improvement in the level method will be a victory (age is not really on my side anymore). Let’s also see what my knees have to say about it.
What would you say to someone thinking about starting CrossFit?
Do not hesitate and try it. Find out by yourself if CF is for you or not. No fear.
What’s your favorite & least favorite CrossFit movement?
My favourite move is just dropping myself on the floor after a workout is complete…Box jumps freak me out, i don’t like jumping pull ups…But I don’t mind Wall-balls or burpees.
What’s your favorite cheat meal?
Almost anything you can find in a boulangerie, pasta, paella, croquetas…and not in small quantities…
